Social Impact Internship

Role Responsibilities
Engage with IGC Online Members
Serve as an online community manager to our private network of social impact and employee resource group leaders
Stay updated and provide insights on the latest news and issues impacting our members
Create Content
Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with the organization’s tone and mission
Assist with creating, designing, and editing content, including website, blogs, toolkits, presentations, videos, social posts, etc.
Conduct research to support content and communications strategy
Own the strategy and execution of the brand’s social media channels, primarily LinkedIn
Help create and manage the editorial calendar and written guidelines
Listen and engage in relevant online discussions about the organization and/or key issues
Learn and Innovate
Provide analytics reports on the performance of digital and social channels
Proactively present new ideas to improve communications
Collaborate with senior management and other teammates
Preferred Qualifications

We must talk "politics;” therefore, respect, trust and open communications are paramount

Work towards Bachelor’s or advanced degree, preferably in social impact, sustainability, public policy, government, communications, marketing or related field
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communications skills
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong writing, proofreading and researching skills
Interest in the corporate social impact and public policy sector
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Proficiency with Squarespace and Tableau, a plus
